The expected base pay for this full-time exempt position is $135 - 185K + bonus + equity + benefits. At Terns, our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The ranges are subject to change and individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including location, skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.

We are seeking a Clinical Scientist to join our clinical development team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Science, this role contributes to the execution of early-stage clinical programs by supporting study design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. What You’ll Do:
- Assist in the design, planning, and execution of clinical trials, including drafting protocols, case report forms, and study plans.
- Support clinical data analysis and contribute to interpretation and reporting of study results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, medical writing, regulatory, and research teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution of studies.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions regarding program development.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with GCP and regulatory guidelines.
- Stay current on scientific and clinical literature relevant to assigned programs.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PharmD/PhD in a life sciences discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in clinical research or clinical development, preferably within a biotech or pharmaceutical setting. Oncology experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of clinical trial design and ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to contribute in a team-based environment.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
